Optometrist – Diagnosis & Treatment Specialist Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico Type: Full-Time Join Our Expert Team of Optometrists! We are seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our growing team in Albuquerque, New Mexico, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of visual and ocular problems. In this role, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive eye examinations, prescribing corrective lenses, and providing treatment through pharmacological means. You’ll also conduct minor surgical procedures, ensuring the best possible care for our patients. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose visual and ocular problems through external and internal physical examinations of the eye and adnexa. Treat visual disorders through corrective lenses, vision training, and pharmacological interventions. Perform minor surgical procedures, including anterior segment foreign body removal, corneal debridement, and suture removal. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Key Success Factors: In-depth knowledge of visual and ocular disorders, diagnosis, and treatment protocols. Strong skills in performing comprehensive eye examinations and minor surgical procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring a positive patient experience. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality care. Qualifications: Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school. State licensure to practice as an Optometrist. Experience with minor surgical procedures and prescription of corrective lenses. Familiarity with the use of pharmacological treatments in optometry. Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
